Fork terminal with external thread | right-hand thread | A4 | M8552
INSTALLATION: Not installed on the wire and not crimped. The fork is screwed into a wire terminal with an internal right-hand thread of the same thread size, for example Mini-thread terminal internal right-hand thread M8449 and Thread terminal crimp-free DIY M8451.
RIGHT-HAND THREAD: The equivalent fork with a left-hand thread is Fork terminal with external thread | left-hand thread | A4 | M8553. If you need a loop instead of a fork, see Loop terminal with external thread | right-hand thread | A4 | M8554.
Fork terminal with external right-hand thread in A4 stainless steel, also called fork with external thread, threaded fork, fork piece with threaded stud or jaw with external thread, is intended for use in corrosive and marine environments. It has a fork with a bolt and locking device at one end and an external metric thread at the other. The product is used where a wire terminal with an internal thread is to be finished with a fork that is fastened around a loop, a mounting eye, or a sail clew. The thread also allows for readjusting the length of the wire. It is suitable for installations where a long service life and consistent performance are crucial.
APPLICATION
The product is used in wire railings, pergolas and green walls, guy wires and barriers together with terminals with internal threads. It is intended for applications where the choice of material provides the necessary protection against corrosion and mechanical stress. Available with external right-hand threads M5, M6, M8 and M10.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)
How is the fork installed?
Screw the fork's threaded stud into the terminal's internal thread. The fork and the terminal must have the same thread size and thread direction – right-hand thread. If you want to lock the position, a nut can be screwed onto the threaded stud and tightened against the terminal as a lock nut.
Which terminals are suitable?
Wire terminals with internal right-hand threads of the same size, for example Mini-thread terminal internal right-hand thread M8449 and Thread terminal crimp-free DIY M8451. Crimped mini-thread terminals have internal threads M5, M6 or M8; the crimp-free M8451 has M6.
What is the difference compared to a fork with an internal thread?
This fork has an external thread and is screwed into a terminal. The fork with an internal thread (M8455) is screwed onto a terminal with an external thread.
Do I need crimping tools?
No. This part is not crimped and is not placed on the wire – it is screwed together with a wire terminal that is already on the wire. The wire terminal itself can be crimped or crimp-free (DIY). We only sell the components and do not perform any installation work. See all wire terminals.
Can the part be used for lifting?
No. WASI does not specify a breaking load and the part is not intended as a lifting device.
What is the difference between A2 and A4?
A4 (AISI 316) contains molybdenum and is acid-resistant, which provides better resistance to salt and chlorides than A2 (AISI 304). A4 is recommended for boats and coastal environments.
