Mini thread terminal pressed | long external right-hand thread | A4 | M8447
INSTALLATION: Pressed terminal – requires crimping tools (hand crimper, hydraulic press, or swaging machine) and is normally installed by a rigger or wire workshop. Cannot be installed with standard hand tools. Want to install it yourself? See our crimper-free DIY terminals.
RIGHT-HAND THREAD, LONG THREAD: This terminal has a long external right-hand thread. If the wire is to be tensioned with a turnbuckle body, a pair is required: a right-hand and a left-hand terminal in the same size, see Mini-thread terminal pressed | long external left-hand thread | A4 | M8448. If a shorter thread is sufficient, see M8445 with short thread.
Mini-thread terminal pressed with long external right-hand thread in A4 stainless steel, also called mini pressed terminal with long thread, mini swaged terminal, or mini stud terminal, is intended for use in corrosive and marine environments. The terminal is crimped (swaged) onto the wire and has a long external thread at the other end, providing a longer tensioning range. The product is used where the wire is to be screwed into a turnbuckle body, threaded sleeve, or fitting. It is suitable for professional installations where a long service life and consistent performance are crucial.
APPLICATION AREA
The product is used in wire railings and balustrades in building and interior environments, boat railings and guardrails, as well as small stays where a longer thread is required. It is intended for applications where the choice of material provides the necessary protection against corrosion and mechanical stress. Available for 4 mm (M6), 5 mm (M8), and 6 mm (M10) wire.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)
What is the difference compared to M8445 with short thread?
M8447 has a long thread (thread length 60–80 mm, total length 90–125 mm). M8445 has a short thread (thread length 30–40 mm, total length 50–85 mm). The crimp sleeve is the same. Choose the long thread when you need more tensioning range or are going through thicker material.
Do I need right-hand or left-hand thread?
A turnbuckle body has a right-hand thread at one end and a left-hand thread at the other. Therefore, a right-hand terminal (M8447) and a left-hand terminal (M8448) in the same size are required.
What is the difference between a pressed and a crimper-free (DIY) thread terminal?
A pressed thread terminal has a smooth sleeve that is crimped onto the wire with crimping tools. It provides a slim, permanent connection but requires tools and cannot be removed without cutting the wire. A crimper-free DIY terminal has a cone and is installed with standard wrenches. This product is pressed.
Can you crimp the terminal for me?
No, we only sell the components. Contact a rigger or wire workshop, or choose a crimper-free DIY terminal that you install yourself.
What is the difference between A2 and A4?
A4 (AISI 316) contains molybdenum and is acid-resistant, providing better resistance to salt and chlorides than A2 (AISI 304). A4 is recommended for boats and coastal environments.
