Mini thread terminal pressed | external right-hand thread | A4 | M8445
INSTALLATION: Pressed terminal – requires pressing tools (hand press, hydraulic press, or swaging machine) and is normally installed by a rigger or wire workshop. Cannot be installed with standard hand tools. Want to install it yourself? See our press-free DIY terminals.
RIGHT-HAND THREAD, SHORT THREAD: This terminal has an external right-hand thread. If the wire is to be tensioned with a turnbuckle body, a pair is required: a right-hand and a left-hand terminal in the same size, see Mini-thread terminal pressed | external left-hand thread | A4 | M8446. If you need a longer thread, see M8447 with long thread.
Mini-thread terminal pressed with external right-hand thread in A4 stainless steel, also known as a mini press terminal, mini swage terminal, or mini stud terminal, is intended for use in corrosive and marine environments. The terminal is pressed (swaged) onto the wire and has a short external thread at the other end. It is more compact than a standard thread terminal with a nut and is used where the wire is to be screwed into a turnbuckle body, threaded sleeve, or fitting. It is suitable for professional installations where long service life and consistent performance are crucial.
APPLICATION AREA
The product is used in wire railings and railing infills in building and interior environments, boat railings and guardrails, as well as small stays and suspensions. It is intended for applications where the wire is to be terminated with a threaded end and where the choice of material provides the necessary protection against corrosion and mechanical stress. Available for 3 mm (M5), 4 mm (M6), 5 mm (M8), and 6 mm (M10) wire.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)
Do I need a right-hand or left-hand thread?
A turnbuckle body has a right-hand thread at one end and a left-hand thread at the other. Therefore, a right-hand terminal (M8445) and a left-hand terminal (M8446) in the same size are required. For attachment in a threaded sleeve or fitting with a right-hand thread, a right-hand thread is sufficient.
What is the difference compared to M8447 with a long thread?
M8445 has a short thread (total length 50–85 mm). M8447 has a longer thread (total length 90–125 mm), which provides a longer tensioning range or reaches through thicker material. The press sleeve is the same.
What is the difference between a pressed and a press-free (DIY) thread terminal?
A pressed thread terminal has a smooth sleeve that is clamped onto the wire with pressing tools. It provides a slim, permanent connection but requires tools and cannot be removed without cutting the wire. A press-free DIY terminal has a cone and is installed with standard wrenches. This product is pressed.
Can you press the terminal for me?
No, we only sell the components. Contact a rigger or wire workshop, or choose a press-free DIY terminal that you install yourself.
What is the difference between A2 and A4?
A4 (AISI 316) contains molybdenum and is acid-resistant, which provides better resistance to salt and chlorides than A2 (AISI 304). A4 is recommended for boats and coastal environments.
