Properties: General term for steel with high wear resistance and heat resistance, used in all variants (R, G, E).

Applications: Standard tools for drilling in metal, plastic, and wood.

High Speed Steel - Rolled

Manufacturing method: Rolled manufacturing process (simply formed)

Properties: Cheaper to manufacture, lower precision, rounded cutting edges, slightly softer than ground drill bits

Applications: Lighter work in soft metals (aluminum, copper), wood and plastic

High Speed Steel - Ground (ground drill bit)

Manufacturing method: Ground manufacturing process

Properties: Higher precision and sharpness, sharper cutting edges, better performance than HSS-R, suitable for drilling in harder materials

Application area: Steel, harder metals and alloys

High Speed Steel - Enhanced (cobalt-reinforced)

Manufacturing method: Ground and cobalt-reinforced.

Properties: Typically contains 5–8% cobalt, providing better heat resistance, wear resistance, and durability. Ideal for high-performance drilling in hard and tough metals

Applications: Stainless steel, acid-proof steel, titanium, and other high-alloy metals
