Hexagon nut | A2 | DIN 934
Do you need a standard nut that combines strength, precision, and corrosion resistance? The Hexagon Nut A2 DIN 934 in stainless steel is a versatile and durable choice for both indoor and outdoor use. Manufactured from A2 / AISI 304 stainless steel, it provides good resistance to moisture, weather, and moderate chemical stress. The nut is easy to tighten with a standard wrench and provides a stable and secure connection in various types of structures.
APPLICATIONS
Perfect for use in construction, machinery, automotive, furniture assembly, and outdoor structures where corrosion resistance and durability are important. The hexagon nut is often used together with a screw, bolt, or threaded rod to create strong and vibration-resistant joints. Easy to assemble and disassemble for service or adjustments.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)
What does it mean that the hexagon nut is made of A2 (AISI 304) stainless steel?
Stainless A2 steel (also known as 1.4301 or AISI 304) is the standard material for corrosion-resistant fasteners:
-
Good weather resistance: Withstands rain, snow, humid environments, and condensation without suffering from surface rust or weakening (Corrosivity class C3).
-
Outdoor and indoor use: Perfect for deck building, garden structures, framing, fences, and general machine applications.
-
Difference from A4 (Acid-proof): A2 is excellent for most standard outdoor applications. However, if the nut is to be installed directly by the coast (saltwater), submerged in pools, or exposed to strong chemicals/road salt, acid-proof A4 steel is required.
What is the difference between classic DIN 934 and the newer ISO 4032 standard?
Both standards describe common hexagon nuts, but with a slight difference in geometry:
-
Nut height: ISO 4032 has a slightly taller nut body than DIN 934. This provides a few more engaged thread turns and increases the nut's resistance to thread stripping at high tightening torques.
-
Full thread compatibility: Both standards have the exact same standardized M-thread and are completely interchangeable in the vast majority of applications.
-
Wrench size (spanner size): M6 and M8 have the same wrench size in both standards, but for M10 (17 mm in DIN 934, 16 mm in ISO 4032) and M12 (19 mm and 18 mm, respectively), the wrench size differs.
How can galling be prevented when installing stainless A2 nuts?
Stainless steel has a natural tendency to seize or "cold weld" (called galling) if friction becomes too high during installation:
-
Lubricate the thread: Apply a drop of mounting paste or grease to the screw thread before installation. This drastically reduces friction.
-
Avoid high speeds: Do not tighten with an impact driver at maximum speed. Heat generation causes the stainless material to expand and "cold weld" the threads.
-
Combine with A2 or A4 screws: Always use stainless steel screws with stainless steel nuts to avoid galvanic corrosion between different metals.
Hej
Det verkar som postnord misslyckats med leveransen på något sätt. Vi skickar om din order så hoppas vi att allt fungerar som det skall med leveransen denna gång.
