Mini thread terminal pressed | internal left-hand thread | A4 | M8450
INSTALLATION: Crimp terminal – requires crimping tools (hand crimper, hydraulic press or swaging machine) and is normally installed by a rigger or wire workshop. Cannot be installed with standard hand tools. Want to install it yourself? See our crimp-free DIY terminals.
INTERNAL LEFT-HAND THREAD: This terminal has an internal left-hand thread and is used in pairs with a right-hand thread terminal of the same size, see Mini-thread terminal crimped | internal right-hand thread | A4 | M8449.
Mini-thread terminal crimped with internal left-hand thread in A4 stainless steel, also called mini swage terminal with internal left-hand thread, LH sleeve terminal or mini swage terminal with LH internal thread, is intended for use in corrosive and marine environments. The terminal is a smooth tube that is crimped (swaged) onto the wire at one end and has an internal left-hand thread at the other. The product is used where the wire is to be tensioned with a threaded rod or a fitting with right- and left-hand threads, together with a right-hand thread terminal. It is suitable for professional installations where long service life and consistent performance are crucial.
APPLICATION AREA
The product is used in railing construction, wire railings and boat and yacht handrails. It is intended for applications where the choice of material provides the necessary protection against corrosion and mechanical stress. Available for 3 mm (M5), 4 mm (M6), 5 mm (M6) and 6 mm (M8) wire, all with left-hand thread.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)
When do I need a left-hand thread?
When the wire is to be tensioned with a threaded rod or a fitting that has a right-hand thread at one end and a left-hand thread at the other. In that case, a right-hand thread terminal (M8449) and a left-hand thread terminal (M8450) of the same size are required. For standard screw fastening, a right-hand thread is sufficient.
What is the difference between a crimped and a crimp-free (DIY) terminal?
A crimped terminal has a smooth sleeve that is clamped onto the wire with crimping tools. It provides a slim, permanent connection but requires tools and cannot be removed without cutting the wire. A crimp-free DIY terminal has a cone and is installed with standard wrenches. This product is crimped.
Can you crimp the terminal for me?
No, we only sell the components. Contact a rigger or wire workshop, or choose a crimp-free DIY terminal that you install yourself.
What is the difference between A2 and A4?
A4 (AISI 316) contains molybdenum and is acid-resistant, which provides better resistance to salt and chlorides than A2 (AISI 304). A4 is recommended for boats and coastal environments.
