Visbella® anaerobic threadlocker 10 ml is designed to effectively lock and seal screw threads. This product cures when confined between metal surfaces without access to air. Its function extends beyond simple locking by also providing effective protection against rust and corrosion on the threads. Furthermore, it prevents screws from loosening due to stress and vibration.

Curing between the metal threads creates a strong and reliable bond that increases the durability and stability of the threaded connection.

Visbella® threadlocker consists mainly of acrylate and hardener. These ingredients are carefully selected to meet various requirements for viscosity and bond strength. By combining these components, the product has been created to deliver optimal performance in locking and sealing applications.

Whether for industrial, mechanical, or other applications, Visbella® threadlocker offers a reliable solution for securing and protecting screw threads in various environments. Its properties make it a versatile tool for ensuring long-lasting and reliable performance of threaded connections.

AREAS OF APPLICATION

For locking and sealing metal threaded connections, e.g., screws, nuts, and studs in stainless steel (A2/A4), in machinery, vehicles, boats, and other structures exposed to vibrations.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

What does it mean that Visbella® Threadlocker is an "anaerobic" sealant?

Anaerobic curing means that the product cures through a chemical reaction requiring two specific conditions:

  1. Absence of oxygen: The adhesive remains liquid as long as it is in contact with air in the bottle. The reaction starts only when you assemble the connection and press the air out from between the threads.

  2. Contact with metal: The curing process is activated by metal ions in the screw and nut (especially steel, iron, copper, and brass).

This makes the product extremely easy to work with, as it does not dry in the bottle or on open surfaces before you tighten the connection.

Why is threadlocking especially important when assembling stainless steel (A2/A4) threaded connections?

Stainless steel fasteners have very good corrosion protection, and in stainless threaded connections, threadlocking provides several benefits:

  • Replaces spring and lock washers: Stainless lock nuts or washers can sometimes be difficult to use in confined spaces. Liquid threadlocker fills 100% of all microscopic gaps in the thread profile, providing a complete chemical lock against vibrations and shocks.

  • Prevents crevice corrosion and moisture: By completely sealing the void between the male and female thread, water, salt, and moisture are prevented from penetrating the threaded connection. This eliminates the risk of crevice corrosion inside the thread.

  • Reduces the risk of galling: Acrylate-based anaerobic adhesives also act as a lubricant during the actual assembly process, reducing the risk of stainless threads seizing during tightening.

How do you best apply Visbella® Threadlocker for maximum strength?

  1. Clean the threads: Ensure the screw and nut are free from oil, grease, dirt, and old adhesive. A clean surface provides maximum bond strength.

  2. Application: Apply a couple of drops of Visbella® anaerobic sealant directly onto the threads where the nut or the threaded hole will end up.

  3. Assembly & Curing time: Assemble and tighten the connection to the desired torque. The adhesive typically fixtures within 10–20 minutes, while full functional curing is achieved after 24 hours at room temperature.

  4. Disassembly: Connections locked with medium-strength threadlocker can be disassembled using standard hand tools. For stronger/permanent locks, localized heating with a heat gun may be required to soften the acrylate bond before disassembly.
