The pan head provides a neat finish and a good contact surface, while the thread-forming tip allows the screw to form its own thread in the material. This makes it perfect for fast and secure installation in pre-drilled or punched holes in thinner sheet metal.

AREA OF USE

Perfect for fastening sheet metal, fittings, sheet materials, and equipment in construction projects, workshops, furniture production, vehicles, and light industry. The thread-forming function provides a stable and vibration-resistant connection without the need for nuts or extra fittings. Easy to install with a cross-head screwdriver (PH) and requires minimal maintenance even during continuous operation.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

Product type: Thread-forming sheet metal screw RXS with pan head

Standard: DIN 7981 / ISO 7049

Quality: A2 / AISI 304 (stainless steel)

Material class: Not specified (stainless A2 quality)

Thread type: Thread-forming / self-tapping for sheet metal

Surface treatment: Untreated (natural-colored stainless steel)

Head shape: Pan head

Drive type: Cross-recess PH

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

What characterizes an RXS thread-forming sheet metal screw with pan head?

An RXS sheet metal screw (according to DIN 7981 / ISO 7049) is a thread-forming screw designed for efficient joining of sheet metal and thin-walled materials:

Thread-forming tip and thread: The screw presses and forms its own mating thread in the underlying material as it is screwed in.
